The Stephenson Family Heritage Center, a storefront on Sheridan's Main Street, originally began in 1969 as a museum and genealogy center. The original museum building was first donated by the late industrialist Kenneth Biddle. Now relocated at 315 Main Street, formerly the community's movie theater, the new and larger facility was made possible by the Richard J. Stephenson Family and contributions from many people. The museum is managed by volunteers who also keep family archives and log records of many events, traditions and social affairs in our rural life.
It is open twice weekly, Tuesday and Friday, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. It is also open second and fourth Saturdays, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Contact us to check hours or for special appointments.
